how can i autoplay my Youtube video?

If you want to have your video autoplay when visitors come to your webpage, you need to add some code to the end of your YouTube URL.

If your YouTube embed is:

< iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Sb4oAS4sC24?rel=0" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></ iframe>

You need to add &autoplay=1 to the end of your YouTube URL. Our Link would look like this:

< iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Sb4oAS4sC24?rel=0&autoplay=1" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></ iframe>

Tips from Virteom

In recent years, more websites have been required to become secure with an SSL certificate. If your website is secure (https) then you'll want to make sure the videos you embed are also https. If your website switches over to being secure, and you have videos that are not -- it will allow for mixed content (and your videos won't display).

If you don't copy your embed video exactly as it appears from Vimeo/YouTube, you will break the page. When you don't copy embed codes exactly as they appear, your page will display all white (maybe with your website's header or footer) resulting in the need to reach out to Virteom for support.

...And that is how you embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo on your Virteom Powered website! If you don't feel comfortable working in your website's source code and have maintenance with Virteom -- feel free to reach out for assistance. We're here to help :)

If you have owned a computer for any length of time you likely have experienced the dread of internet slow down. If it gets bad enough that you need to reach out for technical support one of the first things that they will tell you to try is to clear your browser cache. But what does clearing your cache even do? Why does it help? What is Your Browser Cache? Your cache is the name for a portion of your hard drive that is dedicated to storing browser files that your browser determines it may need to use again. Web pages are packed with information, and this information is stored in dozens, hundreds and sometimes thousands of files for just one site. Your browser will cache portions of the page for you so in future visits load times are quicker, improving your overall internet experience. Why Should I Clear my Cache? Your browser will store things like files, CSS styles, JavaScript scripts, images, and other multimedia content. That is why when you’re working with a web development firm and request updates like font changes (color/size) we request you clear your cache frequently to see these changes in real-time. When changes are made to your website like updating a logo, changing a picture, increasing font or changing colors, you may run into trouble with your browser's cache. Is your Virteom powered website utilizing the Masonry Photo Module? Adding new photos to your gallery is really simple and even allows you to upload multiple images at one time. The one real advantage of using the masonry module is so that you can display images in groupings or categories on a singular webpage. This allows you to separate images out into different galleries so like photos can appear together. For example: Say you're a landscaper and you have a webpage entitled "Hardscapes". You may want to output multiple galleries on this single page to break out each type of hardscape you've done: walkways, patios, pergolas, steps, fire pits, etc. The masonry photo module allows you to accomplish this. You can set multiple categories, and multiple galleries in that one category - all to output on one single webpage. In this how-to article, we explain how to add a new category, add a new gallery, edit an existing category, edit an existing gallery (adding images to an existing gallery), and how to delete categories, galleries, and images in the Masonry Photos module powered by RocketSites. Logging-In First things first, you must log-in to your Virteom powered website. You can do this by visiting your website and adding /virteom at the end. This will take you to the log-in screen for the site. Enter your email address in the email field Enter your password in the password field Click 'Login' Navigate to the Masonry Grid
